Achievements of the theater:
In 1995 the theater became the winner at the International Theater Festival in Cairo, Egypt, with the play "Aiman-Sholpan".
In 2002 the Aimautov theater took part in the Republican Festival dedicated to the 60th anniversary of D. Isabekov with the play "The sister". At that festival E. Tapenov got a nomination in the category "Best theater director" and S. Bekbolatov got an award for the role of Omar.
In 2004 at the XII Republican Theater Festival in Kostanay Zh. Chaikina, an honored actress of the Qazaqstan Republic, got the "Best actress" award for the role of Medea in the play "Medea" by Euripides.
At the VI International Festival of Creative Youth "Shabyt" in Astana the theater won a nomination in the category "Best theater team" with the play "Aiman-Sholpan" written by M. Auezov. I. Medetov took the "Best debut" award.
In 2005 at the XIII Republican Theater Festival in Kyzylordy E. Tapenov, an honoured worker of the Qazaqstan Republic, a winner of the State Prize, got the "Best theater director" award for the play "Shagala" by A.P. Chekhov. The "Best actress" award was taken by Sh. Baigabylova, an honoured actress of the Qazaqstan Republic, for the role of Arkadina.
At the Singers' Festival in Shymkent devoted to the 100th anniversary of K. Zhandarbekov the actress A. Taspaeva won the main prize.
In 2008 the theater took part in the International Theater Festival in Istanbul (Turkey) with the poetic performance "Epic of Otyrar" by M. Shakhanov. The theater came back with a great inspiration. Besides, that year the theater team participated in the XVI Theater Festival of the Qazaqstan Republic dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Nurmukhan Zhantorin. The theater won the main prize for the play "Filumena Marturana" by Eduardo de Filippo.
In 2015 the theater took part in the festival devoted to the 120th anniversary of Zh. Aimautov in Pavlodar and was highly appreciated by theater experts.
In 2016 the theater became the winner at the Festival named after R. Otarbaev in Atyrau.
In April 2017 the theater participated in the Festival named after Zh. Shanin in Turkistan and the actor Bekbolat Okasov got the "Best actor " award.
In November 2017 at the festival named after Zh. Khadzhiev in Zhezkazgan Bekbolat Okasov, an actor of the theater, won a nomination in the category "Best actor" for the play "Wake up, qazaq, think, qazaq".
From the 10th to 14th of November 2018 at the II Republican Theater Festival of Plays of Small Stages dedicated to Rustem Esdauletov, a theater director, actor and poet, in Oskemen the theater presented the drama by O. Bokey "Atau Kere" and was given a "Thank You Letter" from Akim of East Qazaqstan region D. Akhmetov. Moreover, Rauza Tazhibaeva, an actress of the theater and an honored actress of the Qazaqstan Republic, won the "Best supporting actress" award.
From the 10th to the 14th of June 2019 the theater took part in the traditional VII International Festival "Samgau" in Nur-Sultan, the capital of the country. The comedy "The Venetian twins", written by C. Goldoni and directed by B. Shambetov, was presented there and gained an appreciation of theater critics.
From the 20th to the 25th of September 2019 at the XXVII Republican Festival of Qazaq Theaters dedicated to the 100th anniversary of A. Omirzakov the theater presented "A trip to childhood" by B. Sokpakbaev. The director of the play Zhangeldy Sadykov got "Үміт" award.
The theater participated and won at the I International Festival "ABISH ALEMI" devoted to the 80th anniversary of A. Kekilbaev. The festival took place in Aktau from the 11th to the 14th of October. The solo performance "King Lear" directed by A. Akanov was presented there.
From the 17th to the 21st of September 2021 the theater was awarded with the "Best director's work" at the III Inter-regional Festival dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Qazaqstan Republic and the 25th anniversary of Akmola Regional Qazaq Musical and Drama Theater named after Sh. Kusainov. Besides, the theater won the main prize in the volleyball tournament that was organized as part of the festival. So the theater came back home with two prizes.
From the 22nd to the 24th of September 2021 in the Qazaq Musical and Drama theater in Zhezkazgan there was a forum-festival named after Zhanat Aubakirovich Khadzhiev, an honored worker of the Qazaqstan Republic, owner of "Tarlan", outstanding theater director, and devoted to the 125th anniversary of Serali (Serke) Kozhamkulov, a people's artist of the Qazaq SSR and a hero of Socialist Laborpeople's. TThe participThThThe participants of the forum-festival were Nurken Turlybek, the head of literature and drama department of the theater, Baurzhan Manatbekuly, Rakhat Zhumakhanov and Nutzhan Abilasan, actors of the theater.
On the 22nd of September 2022 at the I Republican Festival of Solo Performances devoted to the 105th anniversary of Khadisha Bukeeva and set in Oral the solo performance "King Lear" won a nomination in the category "Best set design".
On the 31st of March 2023 at the International Festival of Comedy Theaters devoted to the 125th anniversary of Temirbek Zhurgenov, a state and public figure, and World Theater Day, that was held in the Regional Qazaq Musical and Drama Theater named after Shakhmet Kusainov, the Aimautov theater won the "Best director's decision" award for the "Venetian twins" by C. Goldoni.
From the 7th to the 10th of June 2023 at the I Republican Festival-forum of Theater Directors and Set Designers named after Chapai Zulkhash, a theater director and an honored artist of the Qazaqstan Republic, which took place in Atyrau and was organized by the Academic Qazaq Drama M. Otemisuly Theater, the Aimautov theater presented the play "Dear Elena Sergeevna" by L. Razumovskaya. Bakhargul Kurbanova, an actress of the theater, got a nomination in the category the "Best actress" for the role of Elena Sergeevna.
On the 24th of September 2023 on the basis of Karaganda Regional Academic Qazaq Drama Theater named after S. Seyfulin the theater of Zh. Aimautov participated in the II Republican Theater Festival "Syn - shyn bolsyn" dedicated to the 130th anniversary of K. Kuanyshbaev, a people's artist of the USSR and an owner of the State Prize, with the play "Uzhdan" by Sh. Kudayberdiuly. The "Best Ensemble" award was taken.
On the 4th of October 2023 at the I International Theater Festival "BIKEN" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Biken Rimova, a people's artist of the Qazaqstan Republic and an owner of the State Prize of Qazaqstan and the USSR, the theater played "Uzhdan" by Sh. Kudayberdiuly. The theater was given the "Special B. Rimova Prize " and the "Special Prize" from Amanat party.
On the 14th of October 2023 with the support of Ministry of Culture and Information, the State Academic Qazaq Drama Theater named after K. Kuanyshbaev and Akimat of North Qazaqstan region the XXIX Republican Festival of Drama Theaters of Qazaqstan was organized and took place in Petropavlovsk and was dedicated to the 125 anniversary of T. Zhurgenov. The Aimautov theater won the "Best director's decision" for the play "Uzhdan" by Sh. Kudayberdiuly.
On the 2nd of November 2023 at the International Festival "Moscow Nights" which was held in Moscow, the theater presented "Uzhdan" by Sh. Kudayberdiuly and took the Second Prize after Grand Prix in the category the "Best Ensemble".
On the 15th of December 2023 the Association of Theater Critics of Qazaqstan organized a monitoring "Theaters of Qazaqstan of 2023". That year was a success for us and we turned out to be in the number of 54 best Qazaqstan theaters. The theater was nominated in several categories: THEATER MANAGER OF THE YEAR (Arman Temirbek), THEATER ENSEMBLE OF THE YEAR ("Uzhdan" by Sh. Kudayberdiuly), PLAY OF THE YEAR BY A FOREIGN DIRECTOR (Azamat Nigmanov with "Uzhdan" by Sh. Kudayberdiuly, Sergey Levitsky with "Richard III by W. Shakespeare), ACTOR OF THE YEAR (Baurzhan Manatbekuly for the role of Richard in "Richard III"), SUPPORTING ACTOR OF THE YEAR (Rakhat Khalyk for the role of Beckingham in "Richard III"), ACTRESS OF THE EPISODE (Talzhibek Atambek for the role of the Queen Mother in "Richard III"), ACTOR OF THE EPISODE (Medet Sadygazin for an episodic role in "Uzhdan", Temirlan Mukatay for an episodic role in "Richard III"). The play "Richard III" written by W. Shakespeare and directed by Sergey Levitsky got the PLAY OF THE YEAR BY A FOREIGNER DIRECTOR award.
